This is an older photo, but created today through cropping and tweaking the lighting. This is a shot of a whole streetful of lights, using the old 3D–2D ‘squish’ effect as I like ti call it to jumble the shapes all together and make the lamps look light they are dancing together.
Up an alley I found a hockey goal ready for a game of street hockey! Next to the ‘No Parking’ sign. Look at the similar patterns moving up through the photo- goal netting, wire fencing and branch tendrils reaching up the building.
A jumble of circles and lines created from shooting close through a mesh table with a chair and a window frame in the background. The eye is drawn to the negative space-the hole in the mesh.
Some kind person is building bird houses throughout Milwaukee. I found this particularly creative one-for caffeinated birds-In the East Side. It was covered in rain drops-hinting at its purpose-and I angled the phone camera to make sure that human habitations would give it a sense of place and show it off as just another apartment!
I enjoy the abstract interaction of a ironwrought grill and it’s shadows. The grill ends two thirds of the way across the photo and everything to the right of this is shadows.
These trees seem to be reaching out to each other across the great blue yonder. The branches do actually touch through a twig (a bridge made by squirrels?)
Looking at the photo in a ditterent way, the branches almost look like lightning strikes.
The mannequin in this shop window has aged over the decades but still sports the kerchief he was first dressed in! The window reflects a building that has aged a lot better. Seemingly resting on his shoulder are a bunch of LP’S-more things that have aged.
