Snowflakes fall between downtown buildings in Milwaukee. I forced the flash to pick out individual flakes.
As you may know already, I love reflections! Here is Milwaukee’s Cathedral reflected in a window. I took the photo at an angle to create the ‘runway’ in the sky – lights behind the window. I spent a few moments trying to work out whether the window edge on the upper right lends a welcome clue to the fact this is a window reflection, or is just distracting clutter. What do you think? This looks like another photo put through a PhotoShop canvas filter. Ho hum. But it’s not. This is unfiltered. It’s shot through some netting curtains. The sun rays slicing through the upper third are a reaction of the original sun reflected in a building refracted through the window and exaggerated by the curtain.
