This exotic fish was swimming in a tank in Chicago’s Shedd Aquarium. It was a curious sort, and when I put my phone near the glass he moved towards it. Fun times! I spliced in a photo of trees to add some ‘vegetation’.

This was taken with an HDR camera on my phone. I want to try different effects with it. It really reacts with indoor lighting to create colours that were not there! There is another strange HDR shot on the Capture The Alphabet page.
Shattered
Picture in picture
Remember the post about my favourite restaurant closing? We were there for lunch today on its final day. I took a photo of the mural that dominates one of the dining rooms. Look how 3D the marigolds appear! To the right of this magnificent art is a framed photograph hung on a colorful door. That is one of mine. It’s a photo of the outside of the restaurant taken in a storm, bought for the owner. We were delighted to walk in one day and see it hanging there.
Goodbye, Cempazuchi! We will miss you.

Dark Metal
It’s not very often it’s just too cold to go out! I did scurry out for a little while, phone in hand to try for a few photos but nothing emerged. So here we are with a photo contrived inside. I took it with a low exposure to accentuate the shadows, making then part of the composition and create a dark moody with the twisted paperclip on the verge of nothing.
